A sundress is a convenient thing for the summer and even a novice seamstress can sew it. We offer for sewing two models of sundress in a style mix.

How to sew a sundress with your own hands without a pattern from a T-shirt and a cut of fabric
For this model, choose a plain shirt and linen or cotton fabric with a bright print. The fabric and the shirt must be in harmony with each other. A knitted top will emphasize your chest, a high waist will hide small flaws of the figure, and a wide belt will give the dress a finished look. Determine the length of the sundress for yourself, this model looks very beautiful on the floor.
In addition to cutting a fabric and a knitted shirt, you will need: a fabric marker, pins for stabbing, a ruler, a spool of thread and a thread-elastic (spandex).

Step 1. Having put on a T-shirt, mark the waist line on it with a marker and increase its centimeters by 6. This model can be sewn without raising the waist. Having laid the shirt on a flat surface, draw a straight line parallel to the bottom edge, letting 1.5 cm for the seam.
Step 2. Measure the circumference of the hips and multiply this number by 1.5 - we get the width of the skirt that we need to cut out. We draw a rectangle with the sides on the fabric: the width and length of the skirt. We place the length of the skirt on the fabric along the shared thread, this is done so that the sundress does not warp during wear. Cut out the detail of the skirt with allowances for the seams: 1.5 cm on each side for the side seam and a length for hem 4 cm.
Step 3. Connect the edges of the skirt with the wrong side up. In order to prevent the fabric from slipping when stitching on the machine, bast out the side seam manually or stab it with special sewing pins, placing them perpendicular to the seam. Sew the seam on the sewing machine with a straight stitch, remove the needles, and process the center seam and the upper section of the skirt on the overlock. If there is no overlock, then process the edges on the sewing machine with a zigzag stitch.
Step 4. We will pick up a skirt on a waist on spandex. The gum thread on the bobbin is best wound by hand, slightly pulling. Take a small piece of fabric, make a few test lines to adjust the stitch length and thread tension. Now we are scribbling over the entire width of the skirt, slightly stepping back from the edge. Such a thread will neatly assemble the fabric into an assembly. Pull the stitches on the wrong side, tie them into a knot and cut them off, leaving small tips.
Step 5. Mark on the shirt the middle of the back, and on the side skirt. Insert the top with the front side inside the skirt. Align the seam on the skirt with the center of the back, and the side seams of the bodice with the marks on the skirt. Sweep the details between each other in the usual way for you. We sew the details with a rubber band just below the elastic stitch on the skirt. To spandex thread once again tucked up a skirt, we place the details of the sundress with a shirt on top.
Step 6. Perform the hem of the bottom. Fold the edge of the fabric twice, bast and sew. Unfasten the side seam of the skirt and the hem with an iron.
Step 7. To sew a wide belt, you need to cut a rectangle 2.5 meters long and 11 cm wide. Such a length of the belt will allow you to experiment with it and even tie it with a bow. If so much fabric is left, we sew the belt to the desired length from several parts, after which we lay out the seams on both sides and steam them with an iron. Fold the belt detail in half with the front side inward, mark with pins the long and one short sides. Sew the part with a straight stitch.
Cut corners with scissors, departing from the stitch by 4 mm. This is done so that you can carefully turn the corners. We turn the part out clearly using a special tool or pencil. We give the corners of the belt a beautiful shape, gradually pulling the fabric out with a needle. Level the belt, mark it along the edge and iron it with an iron, remove the mark. Tuck the edges of the belt inward at an equal distance, iron it and sew in a straight line.

How to sew a sundress with your own hands without a pattern from scarves
The original dress can be sewn from scarves. Hanging edges of scarves will give the model originality, finished edges will save time, and the border on the scarves will effectively highlight the bodice. For sewing, we choose a dense silk scarf, so that later we don’t think about the lining for a sundress. If you are going to the sea, buy scarves with a little addition of synthetic thread, which will prevent the pattern from fading in the sun. If there were no matching scarves with the same pattern, then look in the store for two coupons with a beautiful print.
Additionally, for work you will need: a slanting inlay (about 1.5 cm), a thin elastic band for a hat (30 cm), two silk scarves with sides from 0.8 m to 1.2 m, a ruler and a marker on the fabric. The sides of the scarf determine the length of the sundress. In order to somehow orientate ourselves in length, in the photo the sundress is sewn from scarves with sides of 1 meter.
Step 1. Connect the scarves with their faces inward. Decide on the location of the picture on the sundress. Sweep the two sides together, departing from the selected angle from the front of the front 12-15 cm, and from the back 15-15 cm. Sew the seams with a straight line and smooth them with an iron on different sides.
Step 2. Using a ruler, draw a straight line along the fabric with a marker (back seam), in the diagram it is marked with a dashed line.
Step 3. Fold the oblique collar in half, mark it and sew it on the machine with a straight line. Sew straps to the corners of the headscarves, lay them crosswise on the back and sew them at an equal distance from the back seam. Front straps can be decorated with large beads.
Step 4. We try on a sundress and mark the line under the breast with a marker. We retreat 3 cm down from this line, draw a parallel line and sew a thin elastic band along it with a zigzag. We tighten the elastic band under the stitch and fix its ends with a straight seam using the reverse button.
