Atria, the American publisher, today announced its upcoming book on Whitney Houston’s great legend, Whitney: Tribute To An Icon, featuring the best photographs and essays from loved ones. It is assumed that the world will see this work on November 27, 2012.

Recall that Whitney died on February 11 at the age of 48 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. That day, she was preparing to perform at an evening in honor of the legendary music producer and her mentor, Clive Davis. It was he who discovered the star in her and directed her in show business for many years. Clive Davis will be one of the authors of the essay about the singer.

The book will include about 130 photographs from 22 photographers, including yet unpublished photographs. Presented are such photo masters as David Lachapelle (video director Britney Spears, Elton John), Stephen Meisel (American and Italian Vogue photographer), Patrick Demarchelier (fashion photographer Harper's Bazaar, ELLE, Vogue).

Essays from the Whitney sisters Nicholas and Pat Houston will also be published. "The book will share amazing memories that remember the special moments of the life of Whitney Houston, our" Nippy "(as they called it home - approx. Author)," writes Pat Houston in his essay.

“The photos will help to more clearly reflect the gradual changes in Whitney’s personal fashion style, as well as her musical preferences at different times,” says publisher Judith Care.

As we already said, the book will go on sale in American stores at the end of November and will cost $ 39.99. When its translation will be seen by our Russian readers, it is still unknown ...
