American scientists have discovered a virus that violates the thinking process in humans. A little earlier it was believed that such a pathogen is capable of infecting only plant organisms.
In the course of the study, the ATCV-1 virus was detected, usually infecting plants. Scientists are convinced that under certain conditions this virus can infect animals, and in certain cases, humans.
Studies have allowed to detect ATCV-1 on the oral mucosa of 40% of volunteers. It should be noted that for the entire time of the study of the virus there was only one case when it penetrated the brain. The study was conducted on a dead body, so the effect of ATCV-1 on the work of the nervous system was impossible to understand. However, there is evidence that the presence of a virus in the human body reduces the cognition process by 10%. The carriers of this virus coped with tasks much worse and were unable to focus their attention on work as long as healthy individuals.
