Upper Garonne Parrot Festival
The parrot festival annually collects dozens of archers who dress in medieval clothes and, stocking up with arrows, start to shoot from a bow. Their object becomes a huge toy parrot, installed on the square - at the top of a 45-meter post. Archers need to get into it during the competition. The shooter shooting down a bird is declared the king of the holiday. Naturally, the winner is the most sighted and well-aimed shooter. As a reward, he is expected to have a double target (made of silver), the title of winner of this contest, and finally - a royal treat. The Upper Garonne Parrot Festival has been held since ancient times. Modern on-line competitions and holiday decorations installed in their place are not much different from medieval ones. Only now the real birds felt sorry and began to install a foam rubber target in their place.
Youth Day in China
Initially, this holiday was called Chinese Youth Day, and it was born thanks to several youth movements in the small border region of Shaanxi-Gansu-Ninxia. Gradually, the holiday spread throughout China. Youth Day in China is celebrated as yet another revolutionary date - the anniversary of a patriotic rally. During one of the processions, the emperor's henchmen seized him, and then, together with other ministers, they threw him into a burning furnace. It is believed that the flame did not even burn the bodies of the saints, then the ruler ordered them to be left to be eaten by wolves. However, after some time it turned out that the animals did not dare touch them either. After another failure, the emperor ordered the beheading of Christians. So they were executed.
On this day, the peasants were made to curse black power. People went beyond the fence, stood face to the west (this side of the world was considered in Russia a symbol of all evil spirits), and then uttered a conspiracy, after which the black forces returned to where they came from. On Proklov Day, young girls also played games and dances, danced around open apple trees and sang songs. By the way, today the trees were judged about the upcoming summer. For example, it was believed that if the bird cherry blossomed by this period, then the summer would turn out to be hot.

May 4, 1878 - Inventor Thomas Edison showed the public his phonograph
The phonograph invented by the scientist was the forerunner of all modern devices for sound reproduction and sound recording, based on one principle of operation. The very idea of such an invention, which was a device for fixing a human voice to a special device, was completely new and unimaginable. Many did not even assume that this is possible in principle. Edison took an ordinary foil and a very thin needle as a basis for the first phonograph, rotating along it in the process of recording sound waves. Using this technique, the scientist was able to record the first song called "Mary had a sheep."
Edison's phonograph demonstration took place on May 4, 1878. It immediately brought the inventor wide fame and fame. Many considered the device for some magic, so they called Edison a "wizard." During the first years since the creation of the phonograph, he was the "star" of all American and European exhibitions. People lined up in huge lines to see a miracle device and experiment with recording voices. However, over time, public interest in phonographs gradually decreased, as they became part of everyday life, and now completely merged into its “atmosphere”. But how could we achieve such success in the field of sound recording without an Edison phonograph? It is possible that yes, but this process would drag on for many decades.
May 4, 1961 - Adoption of a decree in the USSR on intensifying the fight against parasitism
This decree came from the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. It contained approximately the following lines: "everyone who avoids socially useful activities, as well as leading an antisocial and parasitic lifestyle, will be subject to criminal liability ...". Under the parasitic way of life was meant negligent parasitism, which was literally interpreted by explanatory dictionaries as "life at the expense of others, idleness, parasitism." In accordance with the document, any citizen of the Soviet Union was obliged to engage in social activities for the benefit of the state, and those who persisted were subjected to forced labor. Only housewives with dependent young children were suspended from work. In April 1991, the criminal liability for parasitism was abolished.

According to the rules on walking dogs, they must walk on specially equipped platforms for these purposes. If there is no such place near the houses, then the owners are allowed to walk their pets at the houses, but with a leash and a muzzle. In addition, the distance from the place of walking to yards, playgrounds, schools, kindergartens, as well as residential windows should not be less than 25-meter distance. In 2008, the Moscow City Duma introduced some changes to the rules regarding dog walking: now every dog lover whose animal is crap in inappropriate places will pay a fine in the amount of 500 to 1000 rubles. According to authorities, the introduction of such "round" amounts will help keep the metropolitan lawns clean. The same amendments of 2008 provided for heavy fines for dog walking in inappropriate places.
