Ginger - A General Description
Ginger (Zingiber) is a perennial herb from the ginger family. The subordinate root, which forms the fibrous system, the rhizome in the form of an underground shoot gives subordinate roots and aerial shoots. The integumentary tissues in the form of a cork, in place of the primary cortex, a parenchyma with closed collateral bundles and yellow-green essential oil is observed.
