Dr. Michael Mosley’s very popular lately diet is based on the following postulates: a person is allowed to eat anything, five times a week. But then you have to starve for two days. Actually, about hunger is said rather allegorically. You can eat, but you should adhere to some restrictions: men should not consume more than 600 calories daily, women - more than 500.

The author of this diet, Michael Mosley, claims that following a 5: 2 diet, he lost nine kilos over the past year. His book, entitled “Fast Diet,” breaks all world sales records. Indeed, in order to lose weight, you need to consume less calories than your body burns. That's right, however, nutritionists are not sure about the benefits of the 5: 2 diet. They believe that it causes unhealthy eating behavior.

First of all, a person who has to drastically limit himself in food begins to involuntarily return mentally to this topic. And this is the first step leading directly to overeating during the allotted five days. Probability is also a tendency to consume tasty, but harmful products, because people do not think about the correctness of their diet.

As nutritionist Kathryn Tallmadge says, it is quite difficult for people at the intuitive level to strictly follow the scheme implying fasting. There are other diametrically opposed diets, in other words, a person limits himself literally for five days and eats himself on weekends. As a result, weight loss can be forgotten.
